Sleaford Mods<\/a> have shared the pulsing new single \u2018Elitest G.O.A.T.\u2019, which is inspired by David Bowie<\/a> and features a collaboration with Aldous Harding<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The track is the latest to be released from upcoming new album \u2018The Demise Of Planet X\u2019<\/a>, following on from singles \u2018Megaton\u2019<\/a>, \u2018The Good Life\u2019<\/a>, \u2018Bad Santa\u2019, and \u2018No Touch<\/a>\u2019. Set for release on Friday (January 16) via Rough Trade, the record is the eighth studio album from the Nottingham duo and available to pre-order here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gradually building with a steady, pulsating beat, the single blends together bright-sounding synths with the direct, signature vocals of frontman Jason Williamson. The angst and social critique in the verses are playfully contrasted by the ethereal chorus line from Harding: \u201cNow my life is much better, since I behave the way I never<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n
