“One Battle After Another,”<\/a>\u00a0the action thriller partly filmed in El Paso, won big during last night’s Golden Globe Awards.<\/p>\n The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio del Toro, snagged four awards during the Jan. 11 show, which aired live on CBS and Paramount + from Beverly Hills, California.<\/p>\n The Paul Thomas Anderson film was shot in El Paso for 18 days between May and June 2024 and contributed nearly $6 million in direct spending in El Paso, according to\u00a0Destination El Paso, the city’s marketing organization.<\/a>\u00a0A significant portion of the spending was building two major sets, which required extensive materials and labor.<\/p>\n El Pasoans were excited as local sightings of DiCaprio and del Toro began to surface \u2014 the pair were spotted filming in the Downtown area, and dining at Cafe Central.
