Elon Musk<\/strong><\/a> is planning on seeking full custody of his and Ashley St. Clair<\/strong>\u2019s son after she publicly supported the rights of trans people.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy,\u201d Musk, 54, claimed via X<\/a> on Monday January 12, in a reply to a user who shared their thoughts that the tech CEO should seek custody after St. Clair, 27, revealed that she changed her stance on the transgender community.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, January 11, St. Clair was asked by an X user about her transphobic remarks in the past, at which point the influencer shared her remorse for her past beliefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel immense guilt for my role. And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son\u2019s sister more pain,\u201d she tweeted<\/a>, referring to Musk\u2019s daughter, Vivian Wilson, who publicly came out as trans<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAshley St. Clair got real about her financial woes amid her and Elon Musk\u2019s ongoing custody battle, claiming she had to turn to podcasting for money. \u201cI\u2019m getting evicted,\u201d St. Clair claimed during the first episode of her \u201cBad Advice\u201d podcast, which premiered on Monday, August 18. She pointed out her financial predicament before giving [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIdrk how to make amends for many of these things but I have been trying incredibly hard privately to learn + advocate for those within the trans community that I\u2019ve hurt,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

St. Clair also explained why she hasn\u2019t publicly spoken up about her new stance on the issue until now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also haven\u2019t said much on this bc I have gone back and forth over whether my voice would be helpful on the issue since it will be framed as disingenuous or just turning bc I\u2019m \u2018scorned,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cEven this reply will become right wing hysteria but yeah I am sorry. Let me know how I can help.\u201d<\/p>\n

St. Clair did not publicly say anything about \u201ctransitioning\u201d a child. Musk, the richest man in the world, is known for his staunch anti-trans views. (Studies show<\/a> that when a trans child is able to receive gender-affirming care they are at a lower risk of mental health issues and suicidal ideation.)<\/p>\n

In February 2025, St. Clair announced that Musk was the father<\/a> of her baby boy, Romulus, the Tesla founder\u2019s 13th child. Elon previously welcomed six kids with his ex-wife, Justine Musk<\/strong>, three with musician Grimes<\/strong> and four with technology executive Shivon Zillis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFive months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,\u201d St. Clair wrote via X. \u201cI have not previously disclosed this to protect our child\u2019s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following month, Elon addressed St. Clair\u2019s paternity claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if the child is mine or not but am not against finding out. No court order is needed,\u201d he wrote via X. He then claimed, \u201cDespite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500K\/year.\u201d<\/p>\n

St. Clair subsequently responded to Elon\u2019s remarks, alleging he did not want to take a paternity test.<\/p>\n

\u201cElon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused,\u201d she alleged at the time. \u201cAnd you weren\u2019t sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary \u2026 until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for \u2018disobedience.\u2019 But you\u2019re really only punishing your son.\u201d<\/p>\n

St. Clair has become outspoken against Elon in recent months. She recently slammed X\u2019s AI technology<\/a> Grok after it created inappropriate images of her.<\/p>\n
