The legendary musician\u2019s death was announced on Saturday, Jan. 10 in a post<\/a> on his Instagram profile. The post indicated that Weir died from \u201cunderlying lung issues\u201d after he was diagnosed with and beat cancer in 2025.<\/p>\n Weir\u2019s estimated net worth at the time of his death was $60 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com<\/a>. The musician\u2019s total earnings came from a combination of record sales, touring revenue and a \u201creal estate footprint centered in Northern California\u201d where he owned several properties, according to the website. <\/p>\n \u201cBobby will forever be a guiding force whose unique artistry reshaped American music,\u201d the Instagram post read. \u201cHis work did more than fill rooms with music; it was warm sunlight that filled the soul, building a community, a language, and a feeling of family that generations of fans carry with them. Every chord he played, every word he sang was an integral part of the stories he wove.
