Arlo Parks<\/a> has announced that a new album is on the way. It\u2019s called Ambiguous Desire<\/em> and is set to arrive on April 3rd via Transgressive Records. As a first taste, the Grammy winner has also shared the record\u2019s lead single, \u201c2SIDED.\u201d<\/p>\n Ambiguous Desire\u00a0<\/em>will mark Parks\u2019 third full-length release, following 2021\u2019s\u00a0Collapsed in Sunbeams<\/em><\/a> (which earned her a CoSign nod<\/a> and landed on our list of the best albums of 2021<\/a>)\u00a0and 2023\u2019s\u00a0My Soft Machine<\/em><\/a>. It features production from Baird (Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract) and finds Parks drawing influence from acts like The Streets, Burial, LCD Soundsystem, and Theo Parrish, as well as New York City\u2019s Paradise Garage.<\/p>\n \u201cI danced more than ever as I made this record, I made more friends than ever too, found myself in the weird underbelly of New York juke nights, unleashed, laughed and laughed and laughed,\u201d Parks said in a statement. \u201cThis record has desire at its center. Desire is a life force, it\u2019s a wanting, a yearning, a momentum \u2014 we are all alive because there is something or someone we want \u2014 desire is an engine.
