\u201cTell Me Lies\u201d<\/a> returns on Tuesday, Jan. 13, but will season 3 the last chapter for the Hulu drama series?<\/p>\n Series creator Meaghan Oppenheimer admitted that she\u2019s unsure about the show\u2019s future during an interview with Us Weekly<\/a> published on Tuesday.<\/p>\n \u201cIn terms of future seasons, it\u2019s impossible to really know at this point,\u201d Oppenheimer said. \u201cI certainly had always thought this was always more or less the ending I\u2019d had in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite believing that season 3 is a natural conclusion for \u201cTell Me Lies,\u201d Oppenheimer didn\u2019t rule out a return.<\/p>\n \u201cYou never know what\u2019s going to happen in the future. But there\u2019s definitely a sense where I didn\u2019t want to leave anything hanging this season. Basically, I wanted to satisfy everyone,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cTell Me Lies,\u201d which is based on Carola Lovering\u2019s 2018 novel of the same name, centers on the toxic relationship between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) over the course of eight years. What\u2019s he doing? Who is this?\u2019 And oh, \u2018Where does he come from?\u2019\u201d White told the outlet. \u201cBut there\u2019s no denying how malicious it all is now \u2014 the lengths he goes to.\u201d<\/p>\n Van Patten also teased the drama that lies ahead in season 3, telling USA Today<\/a> that Lucy and Stephen\u2019s mind games go \u201cbeyond what I even thought toxic was\u201d in the new episodes. <\/p>\n \u201cI couldn\u2019t even imagine these things if I wanted to,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
