The defining pioneers of black metal return with their seventh studio album, Liturgy Of Death. With this release, Mayhem further solidify their standing as one of the most unyielding forces in extreme music. Now more than four decades into their career, they turn their focus toward the unavoidable presence of mortality.<\/p>\n

Finland\u2019s Chaoszine<\/a> caught up with frontman Attila Csihar to discuss the album. Check out the inteview below.<\/p>\n

Attila: \u201cAll the songs are about death, so the lyrics are very focused. That (death) is the end of something and a new beginning, so we will see (what happens with Mayhem). I can\u2019t tell you what the future will bring. For sure, one day we will pass away; that\u2019s what the whole album theme is about. I think Mayhem will keep going. At least I will keep going until I can\u2019t. There\u2019s no other choice now. I\u2019m 55 and I\u2019ve been doing this since I was 15, so I don\u2019t think\u2026 never say never, but I don\u2019t think I can really change.\u201d <\/p>\n
