Muse has made the \u201cdifficult decision\u201d to cancel several upcoming shows \u201cdue to unforeseen circumstances,\u201d according to the band.<\/p>\n
The English rock group was due to play four shows in February until Muse announced on Wednesday that they \u201cwill be unable to proceed,\u201d a statement on the band\u2019s Instagram Story stated. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis has been a very difficult decision and one we did not take lightly,\u201d Muse wrote. \u201cWe\u2019re truly sorry to everyone who purchased tickets and appreciate your understanding.\u201d <\/p>\n
The band added that refunds will be available wherever people purchased their tickets. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope to be back with you again very soon,\u201d the band concluded.<\/p>\n
Muse was set to play the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi<\/a> on Feb. 4, Johannesburg in South Africa on Feb. 7, Cape Town on Feb. 11 and Bengaluru in India, on Feb. 14. The band also has a performance<\/a> scheduled for Milwaukee Summerfest on July 2. <\/p>\n Last year, Muse embarked on a European tour that included a show at Madrid\u2019s Mad Cool Festival, which saw the band step in<\/a> for Kings Of Leon, NME reported<\/a>. The news outlet noted that Muse is currently working on their 10th studio album, which would be their first since 2022\u2019s \u201cWill Of The People.\u201d The group shared the first teaser<\/a> from the new record on June 18, 2025, but has yet to release more music. <\/p>\n Bassist Chris Wolstenholme revealed<\/a> on \u201cThe Leona Graham Podcast\u201d in February 2025 that the band was planning to work on new material the following year.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think the idea is to do anything really serious until next year, so I would imagine that 2026 will be a new album, barring any disasters,\u201d Wolstenholme said.<\/p>\n Muse is a Grammy Award-winning<\/a> band known for combining \u201csci-fi and conspiracy-theory themes with anthems of love and heartbreak,\u201d according to AllMusic<\/a>. Some of the band\u2019s biggest hits include \u201cSupermassive Black Hole,\u201d \u201cStarlight,\u201d \u201cUprising\u201d and \u201cMadness.\u201d Overall, Muse has sold an more than 30 million records worldwide.<\/p>\n
