Amy Poehler<\/a> recently opened up a flying experience that didn\u2019t go quite as planned. Fortunately, it didn\u2019t involve the bomb squad like Ellen Pompeo\u2019s travel fiasco<\/a>, but it did involve a heated exchange between her and a fellow passenger.<\/p>\n

During a Dec. 2025 episode of her podcast \u201cGood Hang\u201d<\/a> (which recently made history by winning the first-ever Golden Globe for Best Podcast), Poehler was joined by her \u201cMean Girls\u201d<\/a> co-star Ana Gasteyer. As the duo reminisced about filming the 2004 hit, Gasteyer recalled a specific flight they shared years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got into a fight with a guy. Baby Frances was on the plane with us, do you remember that?\u201d Gasteyer said, referring to her daughter, who is now 23.<\/p>\n

Poehler was surprised: \u201cAnd I still got into a fight with the guy with the baby around?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope so,\u201d Gasteyer joked, \u201dbecause the guy got mad that you were swearing in front of the baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cParks and Rec\u201d alum then gave listeners the rundown. \u201cWhat happened was a guy \u2014 a first-class guy, which we were in first class too \u2014 was like, \u2018Excuse me, I\u2019m trying to [relax]. You\u2019re being too loud.\u2019”<\/p>\n

Poehler did not care for the man\u2019s complaint. \u201cMy Boston came out, let\u2019s just say that,\u201d she recounted of her response to him.<\/p>\n

While the \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d<\/a> alum didn\u2019t go into exact details, she seemingly dropped a few curse words during the exchange as Gasteyer and her baby sat nearby.<\/p>\n

Gasteyer, who described their argument as \u201cthe best thing I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d didn\u2019t take offense to Poehler\u2019s sailor\u2019s mouth. But the man was allegedly distraught that Poehler would speak like that in front of a baby.<\/p>\n

This was just one of many anecdotes that Poehler has shared during her \u201cGood Hang\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

While accepting the 2026 Golden Globe for the show, the 54-year-old actress explained that the show ” is an attempt to try to make a very rough and unkind world filled with a little bit more love and laughter and laughing with people, not at them.”<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cAnd we just have such a good time making it. Thank you so much for letting us make more.\u201d <\/p>\n

Poehler also gave a shoutout to her boyfriend, Joel Lovell, during her acceptance speech, saying, \u201cI love you. Thank you for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lovell, who grew up in upstate New York and attended Cornell University, has a deep background in media. He previously served as deputy editor of \u201cThe New York Times Magazine\u201d before pivoting to the podcasting world. <\/p>\n

Poehler was previously married to actor Will Arnett, with whom she shares two kids.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
