J. Cole’s long-awaited new album The Fall-Off<\/em><\/a> will arrive next month.<\/p>\n Wednesday (Jan. 14), Cole shared a teaser trailer for the speculating-spurring project, complete with a newly confirmed release date of Feb. 6. The album follows 2021\u2019s The Off-Season<\/em><\/a> and 2024\u2019s Might Delete Later <\/em>mixtape<\/a>.<\/p>\n When sharing the teaser, soundtracked by narration focused on the natural rise and fall of fame, Cole directed fans to this site<\/a>. On it, you can currently find a pre-order for The Fall-Off<\/em> on vinyl.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the first-ever pressing of The Fall-Off<\/em>,\u201d reads the product description. \u201cThis limited edition was assembled under the strongest security measures possible in hopes to preserve the reveal of album artwork and music until the moment they were intended to be released. Production demanded full-scale, around-the-clock security in multiple facilities across North America to provide the best chance of success. With special packaging modifications, we are calling this first pressing the \u2018Stealth Edition,\u2019 and it will be the only time the album will be available in this form.\u201d<\/p>\n Below, see the official cover art for Cole\u2019s latest.<\/p>\n The wait for The Fall-Off <\/em>has been a long one, with fans first alerted to its eventual arrival thanks to \u201c1985,\u201d the closing track to Cole\u2019s 2018 album KOD<\/em>. Subtitled \u201cIntro to The Fall-Off,\u201d the song\u2019s initial release was quickly followed by an X update from Cole<\/a> in which he let fans know he was \u201cworkin\u2019 on it.\u201d<\/p>\n Cole also referenced the album in several subsequent verses, including on his and Drake<\/a>\u2019s 2023 hit \u201cFirst Person Shooter<\/a>,\u201d like so:<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m namin’ the album The Fall-Off, it’s pretty ironic ’cause it ain’t no fall-off for me\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Cole\u2019s return is set to be joined this year by a number of other high-profile releases<\/a>, including Drake\u2019s Iceman<\/em><\/a> and the artist formerly known as Kanye West\u2019s Bully<\/em><\/a>.
