While accepting his best award for\u00a0Jay Kelly\u00a0at AARP\u2019s Movies for Grownups Awards last weekend, Clooney gave a shout-out to\u00a0Paul Dano, Owen Wilson, and Matthew Lillard, whom Tarantino recently criticized.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\u201cBy the way, Paul Dano, and Owen Wilson, and Matthew Lillard, I would be honored to work with those actors. Honored,\u201d the famous actor declared. <\/p>\n

He also stated that Jay Kelly was \u201cmade by people who love actors.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s an important part,\u201d Clooney continued. \u201cPeople I\u2019ve known most of my life\u2026 actually, most of them are actors. I have a great affinity [for them], and I don\u2019t enjoy watching people be cruel.\u201d <\/p>\n

Continuing to slam Tarantino\u2019s criticism, Clooney said, \u201cWe are living in a time of cruelty. We don\u2019t need to be adding to it.\u201d <\/p>\n

Last month, Tarantino slammed Dano, Wilson, and Lillard. He referred to Dano as \u201cthe weakest f\u2014ing actor in SAG\u201d while declaring he \u201ccan\u2019t stand\u201d Wilson. He then added that he doesn\u2019t care for Lillard. <\/p>\n

While at GalaxyCon, Lillard responded to Tarantino\u2019s remark by declaring, \u201cQuentin Tarantino this week said he didn\u2019t like me as an actor. Eh, whatever. Who gives a s\u2014.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Scream star further pointed, \u201cIt hurts your feelings. It f\u2014ing sucks. And you wouldn\u2019t say that to\u00a0Tom Cruise. You wouldn\u2019t say that to somebody who\u2019s a top-line actor in Hollywood.\u201d <\/p>\n

George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino Previously Worked Together in the Late \u201990s<\/h2>\n

Clooney and Tarantino previously worked together as actors in the 1996 film From Dusk Till Dawn. Although they played brothers in the horror cult classic, the duo has had multiple disagreements over the years.<\/p>\n

Tarantino previously slammed Clooney by stating the actor wasn\u2019t a \u201cmovie star.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a long while since I think George Clooney has drawn anybody to an audience,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen was the last time that he had a hit in this millennium?\u201d<\/p>\n

Clooney addressed the comment during an interview with GQ. <\/p>\n

\u201cQuentin said some s\u2013 about me recently, so I\u2019m a little irritated by him,\u201d he stated. \u201cHe did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about [Brad], and somebody else, and then this guy goes, \u2018Well, what about George?\u2019 He goes, he\u2019s not a movie star.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clooney further noted, \u201cAnd then he literally said something like, \u2018Name me a movie since the millennium.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Since the millennium? That\u2019s kind of my whole f\u2014ng career. So now I\u2019m like, all right, dude, f\u2013 off. I don\u2019t mind giving him s\u2014. He gave me s\u2014-.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
