That\u2019s a fun poetic twist. \u2018The World, So Madly\u2019 is taken from their forthcoming LP <em>Singin\u2019 to an Empty Chair<\/em>. \u201cLooking back at my voice memos, I recorded the original idea for this song on January 1st, 2023,\u201d Steiner recalled, \u201cand it feels like a song of new beginnings: we recorded it almost entirely in the morning throughout the sessions, and the lyrics focus on making peace with big life changes, and really with the ever-changing nature of life in general. The breezy new single \u2018Windows on the World,\u2019 features Tweedy on electric guitars and bass and Glenn Kotche on percussion. \u201cThe stories in these songs are equal parts innocence and experience\u2014dealing with the ecstatic moments of being freshly enamored with the world as well as the isolation and seclusion that can come after,\u201d Clarke commented. \u201cOn view are the unseen inner sanctums of quiet daily life\u2014the private worlds that people inhabit, where they don\u2019t or can\u2019t let anyone else in.
