Not every musician has the pull to announce a concert tour with a trailer that stars Sean Penn.<\/p>\n

John Mellencamp does. The 74-year-old rocker revealed Wednesday that he\u2019ll embark on a 19-date run of US amphitheaters this summer. The theme of \u201cDancing Words Tour \u2014 The Greatest Hits\u201d <\/a>is as the name suggests, Mellencamp\u2019s most extensive rendering of his best-known songs in decades.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0short film<\/a>, Mellencamp and Penn are sitting in a diner, the rocker saying he\u2019s been asked to do a \u201cgreatest hits\u201d tour. He seems reluctant.<\/p>\n
