Emmy-nominated comedian Joel Kim Booster is \u201cjust really happy\u201d nowadays. Why? He\u2019s a married man. <\/p>\n

Kim Booster, the star, screenwriter and executive producer of gay rom-com \u201cFire Island,\u201d has married video game producer Michael Sudsina in a December wedding that he said made for \u201cthe best day of my life, no contest.\u201d The 37-year-old \u201cLoot\u201d star unveiled his nuptials on Wednesday, sharing the New York Times\u2019<\/a> coverage of the milestone. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never felt so certain and so loved,\u201d Kim Booster captioned his first bunch of wedding photos. His \u201cUrgent Care\u201d podcast co-host Mitra Jouhari, and \u201cFire Island\u201d co-stars and \u201cLas Culturistas\u201d podcast hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers were among the friends who attended the ceremony at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, according to the photos. Comedians Patti Harrison, Cat Cohen, Ron Funches and Emmy-nominated \u201cLoot\u201d co-star Michaela Ja\u00e9 Rodriguez<\/a> also showed up for the happy couple. <\/p>\n

\u201cMore pictures will be coming, in fact I might never stop,\u201d Kim Booster warned his followers. \u201cI\u2019m just really happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kim Booster\u2019s credits include comedy series \u201cShrill,\u201d \u201cSearch Party\u201d and \u201cBig Mouth,\u201d but he broke out with the 2022 film \u201cFire Island.\u201d <\/a> The comedy, touted as a spin on Jane Austen\u2019s \u201cPride and Prejudice,\u201d follows a group of friends \u2014 some who find unexpected romances \u2014 on vacation at the popular New York LGBTQ destination. He received two Emmy nominations in 2023 for the film. <\/p>\n

Sudsina, 32, is a games producer for \u201cLeague of Legends\u201d developer Riot Games and has worked on several of the gaming giant\u2019s titles including \u201cValorant\u201d and its Emmy-winning Netflix series \u201cArcane.\u201d<\/p>\n

The newlyweds tied the knot more than four years after striking up a romance amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The New York Times reported that the spouses sparked a romantic connection in May 2021 while on vacation with friends in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and officially became boyfriends later that year. Moments from their Mexico vacation reportedly inspired tender scenes in \u201cFire Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kim Booster proposed to Sudsina in September 2024 while they were on vacation in Jeju Island, the South Korea island where the actor was born and adopted from, the NYT reported. Sudsina told the outlet, \u201cI feel when I\u2019m with Joel, I\u2019m in a rom-com.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI love that we both have already worked through so much and continue to meet new versions of each other and continue to grow together,\u201d he added. \u201cI think he\u2019s going to be an amazing father, an amazing partner, an amazing friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
