Netflix to be the exclusive Pay-1 streaming home of Sony Pictures\u2019 feature films following full theatrical and home entertainment runs\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Hollywood, Calif., January 15, 2026<\/span> — Netflix and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) today announced a landmark global Pay-1 licensing deal. In the exclusive multi-year agreement, SPE’s feature films will stream on Netflix worldwide \u2014 an industry-first for Pay-1 \u2014 following their full theatrical and home entertainment windows.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0The new global Pay-1 arrangement will roll out gradually starting later this year as individual territory rights become available, with full global availability on Netflix in early 2029. As part of this deal, Netflix will also license rights to select SPE feature film and television library titles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Netflix currently has Pay-1 rights to SPE’s feature films in select territories including the U.S., Germany, and across Southeast Asia.
