\u201cLate Show\u201d host Stephen Colbert<\/a> said President Donald Trump<\/a> \u201cdesignated a new national bird\u201d when he gave the finger<\/a> to an autoworker<\/a> who called him a \u201cpedophile protector\u201d as he toured a Ford facility in Detroit earlier this week. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cYou got to hand it to that autoworker for getting under Trump\u2019s skin like compound butter on a Thanksgiving turkey,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cAnd all because he brought up the Epstein files.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n That led Colbert to ask one blunt question. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhere are the Epstein files?\u201d Colbert asked, causing the audience to erupt. \u201cWhere are they?\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n During the 2024 campaign, Trump and his allies repeatedly promised that, if elected, they would release all of the files related to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, who was once a close friend of the president. Instead, Trump and his team have spent the past year working to block the release of those same files.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Congress ultimately defied Trump and ordered the release of the files by Dec.19, 2025, but the Justice Department still has not fully complied. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
