\n\tAmid chatter about her rumored mom-group<\/a> drama, Hilary Duff<\/a> is releasing a song about the hectic side of being a working mother.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cRoommates\u201d dropped Thursday (Jan. 15) alongside a music video as the second single from the Lizzie McGuire <\/em>alum\u2019s upcoming album Luck \u2026 or Something<\/em>. In a statement, Duff said that it\u2019s \u201ca song about when life is life-ing, babe.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt\u2019s that ache for a wilder, freer time \u2014 before the days were swallowed by carpools, budget talks, grocery runs and letting old or new insecurities slip in,\u201d continued the singer-actress, who shares three kids with husband and \u201cRoommates\u201d cowriter Matthew Koma. \u201cIt\u2019s the restless hum of wanting to find your way back \u2014 to your rhythm, to your person, to yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tArriving ahead of the Feb. 20 release of Luck \u2026 or Something<\/em>, \u201cRoommates\u201d follows up single \u201cMature,\u201d which Duff dropped in November. Her new era \u2014 which will also be complete with a short run of shows this month and mini Las Vegas residencies in February and May \u2014 marks a grand return to music after not releasing an album for more than a decade. In 2015, LP Breathe In. Breathe Out.<\/em> debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tIn addition to her three kids with Koma, Duff also has a 13-year-old son from her first marriage to Mike Comrie.
