Since his breakout moment with his 2020 single \u201cWhere I Find God,\u201d Fleet has remained a steady standard-bearer for traditional country music, even if his releases have inexplicably flown under the radar more than they should.<\/p>\n
This might be his next big hit though, because not only does the music video feature some serious star power, it\u2019s also a perfectly timed single to coincide with America\u2019s yearlong 250th birthday celebration.<\/p>\n
\u201cAmerican Made,\u201d which was co-written by Fleet along with Mark Holman and Scooter Carusoe, showcases Fleet\u2019s always-thoughtful songwriting as he reflects on the simple yet invaluable wisdom gained from the older generation:<\/p>\n

And always buy American made\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nSpeaking on the new single, Fleet said it only felt right to release the single as America celebrates her 250th birthday \u2013 although the song has a much deeper message than that:<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels fitting to release American Made on the 250th anniversary of America, but this song is so much more than that to me. It\u2019s about the morals, values and lessons passed down from one generation to the next\u2026 guiding them to live a life worth livin\u2019 and I hope people across the world connect with the song in that way.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\nThe conversation in the song takes place while a young boy is working on a car with his dad, so instead of actors for the music video Fleet recruited a young boy who ACTUALLY grew up working on cars with his pops \u2013 who just happens to be a NASCAR legend.<\/p>\n
Kevin Harvick, a NASCAR Cup Series champion who was named one of the sport\u2019s 75 Greatest Drivers, stars in the video alongside his 13-year old son Keelan, a future racing superstar himself who is already winning races in the CARS Tour and on local tracks around the country.<\/p>\n
