I am entering my Slayyyter era. Even though the pop singer has a few albums under her belt, most recently 2023’s Starfucker<\/em>, it wasn’t until I heard last year’s “CANNIBALISM!” that I was really hooked. (The video features the incredibly inspiring drag skateboarder Chandler Burton<\/a> and it became one of my favorite tracks<\/a> of 2025.) Today, she’s returned with another hypnotizing single “DANCE…” and a self-directed video. It’s the latest from her newly announced album Wor$t Girl In America<\/em>, out 3\/27.<\/p>\n “DANCE…” is a dark and seductive pop song. If you’re a fan of French electro, the Climax<\/em> soundtrack, or the Weeknd’s After Hours<\/em> era, then you’ll probably be into this. “DANCE…” opens with anxious percussion that nearly sounds like the evil sister of Dolly Parton’s “9 To 5<\/a>.” The track comes into focus with buzzy synths and a vampiric melody. Then the chorus hits with euphoric declarations: “I kinda hate you, but It doesn’t matter, let me dance” and “You seem so miserable. It doesn’t matter, let me dance.” Some good ole hedonistic fun.<\/p>\n Watch below. <\/p>\n
