Take a seat, sit back, and allow yourself to be transported during this snowy season.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"enhanced\"\/><span\/><span><\/p>\n<h3>Cambridge | Jan. 24-March 8<\/h3>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Central Square\u2019s The Dance Complex portrays the frequently chaotic nature of life in one\u2019s 20s in a one-night performance of \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dancecomplex.org\/event\/quarter-life-cry-sis\/\">qUaRtEr LiFe cRy SiS<\/a>\u201d (Jan. 24). In this dance and comedy fusion, Miranda Lawson\u2019s contemporary choreography meets hip-hop, telling a story of a young adult\u2019s descent into a messy age that she confronts with humor. \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dancecomplex.org\/event\/return-to-joy\/2026-02-08\/\">Return To Joy<\/a>\u201d (Feb. 7-8), a solo, whimsical tap show from dancer Ryan P. Casey, features what Dance Magazine called \u201cfreakishly clean footwork,\u201d set to the music of Count Basie, Samara Joy and others. Set to the music of Tchaikovsky, the tragically romantic narrative is about a prince who is enthralled with Odette, a swan princess under the spell of a sorcerer. Choreographed by Anatoliy Shekera, the intricate ballet grapples with themes of light and dark, redemption, transformation, and sacrifice committed for the sake of true love. Formed in 1993, the group will come to Boston this season for its latest demonstration called \u201cThe Best,\u201d presented by Global Arts Live. Presented by Vivo Performing Arts (formerly Celebrity Series of Boston), Trisha Brown Dance Company will perform works such as \u201cGlacial Decoy,\u201d which uses visual artist Robert Rauschenberg\u2019s photographs as a backdrop. Other highlights include \u201cSon of Gone Fishin\u2019,\u201d from the \u201cUnstable Molecular Structure&#8221; cycle,\u201d imitating the movement of a stone tossed across the water\u2019s surface. One of the first African national groups of its nature, the troupe has stood as \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.globalartslive.org\/content\/event_page\/10365\">a global phenomenon<\/a>,\u201d upholding the continent\u2019s rich culture and heritage. For four decades, flamenco artists who had newly arrived in the United States would visit Sabicas\u2019 New York home, finding a place where they belonged.
