San Diego four-piece Sparkler have been putting out music since 2020, and they&#8217;re about to follow their 2023 debut <em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sparklersd.bandcamp.com\/album\/big-sonic-chill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Big Sonic Chill<\/a><\/em> with a new album called <em>Glidewinder<\/em>. They recorded the LP over two busy, experiment-heavy weekends. I don&#8217;t know their previous work, but <em>Glidewinder<\/em> lead single &#8220;Postal&#8221; has a dreamier, more blissful sensibility than what I hear from most of the band&#8217;s peers. They really do sparkle. It&#8217;s not just a name. <\/p>\n<p>In the Diego Guardado-directed &#8220;Postal&#8221; video, the members of Sparkler disguise themselves as mail deliverers to enact a balloon-popping prank that I don&#8217;t quite understand.
