\n\tE! is developing a TV series in which \u201ccanceled<\/a>\u201d celebrities live together in a house and seek redemption from America. Becoming Uncanceled<\/a> (working title) is in the very early stages of development, a source confirms for The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n \n\tBecoming Uncanceled is the brainchild of Allison Wallach, head of unscripted at Fox Entertainment Studios.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Becoming Uncanceled news was first reported by the Ankler<\/a> via an interview with Versant<\/a>\u2018s entertainment president, Val Boreland (pictured above). Boreland did not reveal the names of her houseguests, but teased it like this: \u201cYou can think about the kind of people we\u2019re talking about \u2014 not criminals \u2014 who might need to redeem themselves in front of America.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBoreland said she could not \u201crule out\u201d a politician joining the ranks.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cBut again, this isn\u2019t to be salacious about criminal activity,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s supposed to be more fun with a little of the serious nature of getting themselves back on track.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThere\u2019s no way this blows up in anyone\u2019s face. None whatsoever.<\/p>\n \n\tVersant officially separated from Comcast\/NBCUniversal earlier this month<\/a>. The new company is the result of NBCU going lean, spinning off all of its cable assets this side of Bravo and packaging the castaway channels with some digital assets. Versant is comprised of USA Network, Syfy, the aforementioned E!, CNBC, MS NOW (fka MSNBC<\/a>), Oxygen and Golf Channel, as well as digital businesses such as Fandango, GolfNow and Rotten Tomatoes. Versant, itself previously referred to as \u201cSpinCo.,\u201d is led by Mark Lazarus.
