The Princess of Wales<\/a> has revealed that she plays rugby with her daughter \u2013 but wouldn\u2019t want to be tackled by Prince George, her eldest child.<\/p>\n

As she met the World Cup-winning Red Roses England team<\/a> at a Windsor Castle reception on Thursday, the Princess said children should not be \u201cpigeonholed\u201d into separate sports too early.<\/p>\n

She told the team that both Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, seven, played rugby at school, whereas 10-year-old Princess Charlotte joins in at home.<\/p>\n

Speaking about how schools often choose not to separate boys and girls for sport when they are younger, the Princess said: \u201cCharlotte is playing rugby, but at home with the family, so she isn\u2019t playing yet at school.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cRugby is so accessible, Louis is playing touch rugby, and it\u2019s such a great game. Actually, they shouldn\u2019t necessarily need to pigeonhole boys and girls in particular sports too early.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, as they get physically stronger \u2013 George now, if we play at home, I do not want to get tackled\u2026 but up to a certain age, I think it\u2019s great.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
