Morgan wrote.<\/b><\/a> \u201cHaving the opportunity to work alongside some of the greatest and most selfless individuals on earth is something I\u2019ll never take for granted.\u201d<\/p>\nMorgan had already served 17 years in 2023 when he decided to re-enlist. <\/p>\n
During a stop on \u201cFox and Friends\u201d after he made the decision he talked about why he did it. <\/p>\n
\u201cTwofold,\u201d he said. \u201cRecruiting was worse than it has ever been in the history of our nation, and I felt like I could bring something to the table to help with that.<\/p>\n
\u201cSecondly, I had 17 \u00bd years, and I never got a letter that said, \u2018Thank you for your service,\u2019\u201d the 60-year-old said. \u201cI wanted that retirement letter so bad, so this was an opportunity for me to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Morgan told the show that he was not surprised by the jump in recruiting numbers at the time, and he had an interesting answer when asked if he was prouder to serve his country under President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
\u201cI never joined the Army for a president,\u201d he said. \u201cYou join the Army to serve your country, any service member will tell you that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Taste of Country reported<\/b><\/a> <\/b>that Morgan has served with the U.S. Army and Army Reserve with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions as an E-6 Staff Sergeant and Fire Support Specialist.<\/p>\n
