The Astoria Art Mart will be open Thursday through Sunday each week from noon to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like we proved the concept,\u201d said Goguen. \u201cIt was an overwhelmingly positive response from the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That concept is 100% of sales back to the artists in exchange for a monthly fee to support the lease. Raines said the \u201cby artists, for artists\u201d model was key when structuring the group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur clear message and focus on supporting artists has spread in our community. We are providing a space between artists and their audience that was missing in Astoria. A place to grow,\u201d said Raines. \u201cI am proud of what we\u2019ve set out to build.
