The new batch of celebrities to sign up for a gruelling stay in the South African jungle have been unveiled during Sunday night\u2019s I\u2019m A Celebrity \u2026 Get Me Out Of Here! premiere.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Julia Morris and Robert Irwin returned as hosts, with Julia warning during the intro that this season will be the \u201ctoughest yet\u201d.<\/p>\n
Before season 12 even began airing, three of the campmates had already been confirmed: Rachel Hunter, Luke Bateman and Dyson Heppell.<\/p>\n
Rachel is the \u201cinternational supermodel\u201d Ten had been dropping clues about for weeks, Dyson was the \u201cAFL A-lister\u201d, and ex-NRL star Luke was the \u201cRugby Romeo\u201d \u2013 a nod to his stint as one of the bachelors on The Bachelor Australia<\/i> in 2023.<\/p>\n
News.com.au understands that unlike in previous seasons, this year\u2019s episodes were prerecorded.<\/p>\n
There were the typical awkward scenes as the first contestants gathered in the communal area for their introductions, with the inital trio of Rachel Hunter, Barry Williams and Mia Fevola quickly forced to undergo their first challenge – featuring plenty of creepy crawlies and a rapidly-rising water tank.<\/p>\n
Poor Mia was tasked with surviving the cold and terrifying conditions inside the glass case while trying to connect a series of cords underwater… just minutes earlier having flagged her deathly phobia, sparked by a jetskiing accident some years ago.<\/p>\n
Oh Mia, you should have known.<\/p>\n

RACHEL HUNTER<\/b><\/p>\n
The New Zealand-born supermodel, who has graced the covers of magazines all over the world and was famously married to Sir Rod Stewart for 16 years, was first cab off the rank, entering the jungle as the very first contestant.<\/p>\n
By her own admission as she entered the camp… she has no idea why she\u2019d agreed to do it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t like spiders, I don\u2019t like snakes,\u201d Rachel admitted. <\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a sense of fear there. There\u2019s a sense of unknown. What am I trying to prove? What am I trying to do? I don\u2019t know! But I\u2019m a very curious person.\u201d<\/p>\n
BARRY WILLIAMS<\/b><\/p>\n
Barry Williams, best known as Greg Brady from iconic US family sitcom The Brady Bunch<\/i>, brought some international TV stardom to proceedings during Sunday night\u2019s premiere.<\/p>\n
\u201cI grew up on television with a television family, so I will be brotherly. I\u2019ll certainly be supportive in the jungle,\u201d the American actor, 71, said in his voiceover.<\/p>\n
MIA FEVOLA<\/b><\/p>\n
Fresh from her stint on the 2025 season of Dancing With The Stars<\/i>, the daughter of former AFL star-turned-radio host, Brendan Fevola, was the third celebrity to be revealed on Sunday night.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old internet personality admitted to Barry and Rachel that she was \u201cshaking\u201d and her heart was \u201cpounding\u201d as she stepped into view, but insisted this was something she\u2019d always \u201cwanted to do\u201d.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a full circle moment: Mia\u2019s famous dad was a former contestant himself, and was even crowned King of the Jungle on the show exactly 10 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can be a bit of a princess, but I want to remove that title and honestly just push myself to my limits,\u201d she explained on the show.<\/p>\n
\u201c… I\u2019m very excited to be here and to be giving it a crack on my own.\u201d<\/p>\n
In what was always going to be a fairly solid indication of exactly what would soon be heading her way, Mia admitted that she had a phobia of water right from the start.<\/p>\n
\u201cHonestly, if I\u2019m in that water tank, I\u2019ll probably pee my pants. I\u2019m so scared of water,\u201d she told her campmates.<\/p>\n
Uh oh.<\/p>\n
REBEKAH ELMALOGLOU<\/b><\/p>\n
Aussie actress and \u201cSoap Royalty\u201d Rebekah Elmaloglou, 51, is best known for her 13-year stint as Terese Willis on Neighbours <\/i>but also previously played Sophie Simpson on rival local soap, Home and Away.<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m here to face my fears… I\u2019m getting the sweats thinking about it,\u201d she joked in her voiceover. <\/p>\n
\u201cOh, oh God, I\u2019m having a hot flush, it\u2019s the menopause. Sorry. Oh, that\u2019s another thing that\u2019s going to be a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n
LUKE BATEMAN<\/b><\/p>\n
Former NRL star Bateman, who played for the Canberra Raiders before retiring in 2019, made his first reality TV appearance on The Bachelors<\/i> in 2023.<\/p>\n
He went on to become something of a TikTok sensation after blowing up in the popular BookTok category.<\/p>\n
Ten teased him as the \u201cRugby Romeo\u201d, hinting that he could find love on the show or have it wind up as a \u201cShakespearean tragedy\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cA Rugby Romeo will be trading scrums for chum as he gets his kicks from tucker trials,\u201d the network hinted ahead of the premiere.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen people first see me, they probably see, like, my size and stature and then think, like, \u2018Oh, this bloke\u2019s a big dumb boofhead\u2019,\u201d Luke explained as he appeared on-screen.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s probably going to be their first reaction, and then hopefully I can change that. What might annoy people is just how often I ask personal questions… I\u2019m a very curious person.\u201d<\/p>\n
NATH VALVO<\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cEverything scares me. I\u2019m scared of the sun. I\u2019m scared of the outdoors. I\u2019m scared of most animals. I\u2019m scared of heights. I\u2019m scared of small talk. I\u2019m scared of boring people. So, look, won\u2019t lie, not sure about doing this.\u201d<\/p>\n

The stand-up comedian left viewers with no confusion about exactly why he had actually agreed to sign up, declaring bluntly: \u201cPeople keep asking me why I\u2019m going to the jungle, and to be very serious just for one moment, it\u2019s because I\u2019m poor. Stand-up comedy does not pay well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nath\u2019s inclusion answers the question of who the \u201cStand-Up Star\u201d was, but whether he has the \u201cjungle in stitches\u201d fans will have to watch to find out.<\/p>\n
DENI HINES<\/b><\/p>\n
Aussie singer (\u201c90s Pop Star\u201d, as Ten had teased) Deni Hines – daughter of Australian Idol<\/i>\u2019s Marcia Hines – also officially entered the jungle. Any campmates hoping for an impromptu performance of her smash hit track That Word (L-o-v-e) <\/i>in the coming days will be sorely disappointed: Deni made it clear from the outset that she \u201chates\u201d the iconic track.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do. I hate that song,\u201d she told campmates. That\u2019s that then.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am Deni Hines, and I am a singer. And you should know me as that, because I\u2019ve never done anything else but sing. And now I am in the jungle, so watch out,\u201d she said as she entered the show.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just a fiery person. I\u2019m a strong gen Xer. I know what I want. I\u2019m 55. But you know what? Every challenge you give me, you ain\u2019t gonna see me go, \u2018oh, I want to do it. I don\u2019t wanna…\u2019 I\u2019m doing it. Let\u2019s get this going.\u201d<\/p>\n
DYSON HEPPELL<\/b><\/p>\n
Dyson was the second campmate to be confirmed in the lead-up to the premiere, having been teased as the \u201cAFL A-lister\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cAn AFL star is going to have a ball when we boot him into the jungle,\u201d Robert Irwin joked ahead of the premiere. Dyson was one of the names being guessed by fans \u2013 along with Mason Cox, Shaun Hampson and Lance \u201cBuddy\u201d Franklin after a distorted voice message was released as a clue.<\/p>\n
GARY SWEET<\/b><\/p>\n
Another well-known Aussie has entered the [I\u2019m A Celeb<\/i>] chat: \u201cLogie-winning actor\u201d Gary Sweet.<\/p>\n
The 68-year-old has appeared in multiple TV shows including Police Rescue, Cody, Big Sky, Bodyline, Stingers<\/i> – and as Julia Morris\u2019 on-screen husband in House Husbands<\/i>.<\/p>\n
The latter gig led to a very funny reunion exchange between the former co-stars during Sunday\u2019s premiere, with Julia announcing that they had once been \u201cmarried for five years\u201d.<\/p>\n
Cue dramatic pause before she added: \u201c… Televisually.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe got to kiss on the lips… it was a joy,\u201d Julia joked, before telling him: \u201cAnd you were the only husband that I really loved.\u201d<\/p>\n
CONCETTA CARISTO<\/b><\/p>\n
Triple J Breakfast<\/i> co-host and comedian Concetta Caristo was the final celeb reveal for Sunday night\u2019s premiere, taking on the title of the \u201cRadio Queen\u201d set to bring some \u201crazzle dazzle\u201d.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old has also appeared on Aussie TV screens, including during the third season of Taskmaster Australia<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Based on her introduction, it\u2019s clear Concetta is in for a rough ride in the jungle.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am afraid of pretty much everything. I\u2019m scared of spiders. Even really tiny ones. I\u2019m scared of cockroaches. I\u2019m scared of heights. I\u2019m scared of closed spaces. I\u2019ve been scared of the dark when I was a kid. Maybe I\u2019m still scared of it now.\u201d<\/p>\n
