Bringing Up Bates <\/i>alum Katie Bates<\/strong>\u2019 husband, Travis Clark<\/strong>, admitted that he had been unfaithful in their marriage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife,\u201d Clark, 24, wrote in a statement shared via his Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 17. \u201cI had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust. There is no excuse for what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThis was my failure and my responsibility alone. I know that words don\u2019t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I\u2019ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bates, 25, and Clark have been married since December 2021, later welcoming kids Hailey and Harvey in 2023 and 2024, respectively.<\/p>\n

Bates included footage of herself taking a pregnancy test and finding out it was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry for the pain, humiliation and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices,\u201d the nursing student continued in his social media statement. \u201cI understand that an apology doesn\u2019t repair what I broke and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark further revealed that he is \u201ctaking responsibility\u201d for his actions by seeking an undisclosed type of help.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am taking responsibility by getting help and doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of [the] outcome,\u201d Clark said. \u201cI ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bates has not publicly addressed Clark\u2019s confession. Us Weekly<\/i> has reached out for comment.<\/p>\n

Hours before Clark\u2019s admission, Bates revealed that she had suffered a pregnancy loss<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will spend the rest of my life missing you,\u201d she wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 17, sharing footage from her pregnancy. Bates included clips of Clark at the time, highlighting the moment they found out that they were expecting before being seen crying in a hospital room.<\/p>\n

Katie is one of Gil<\/strong> and Kelly Jo Bates<\/strong>\u2019 19 children, who followed in her famous family\u2019s tradition of courtship. Us <\/i>exclusively confirmed in 2020 that Katie started courting Clark after meeting through mutual friends when they were both 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cTravis and his family are active in their local church and also travel together to sing, so our families have been able to visit at nearby concerts and church events,\u201d Katie told Us <\/i>at the time<\/a>. \u201cTravis and I are so thankful that the Lord, not only allowed our paths to cross, but that we have been able to begin this new phase of our journey together.\u201d<\/p>\n
