Two pop music \u201cCharlies\u201d \u2013 Puth and XCX \u2013 have new music out Friday.<\/p>\n
Charlie Puth<\/strong> has released \u201cBeat Yourself Up<\/a>,\u201d another track from his upcoming album<\/a>, Whatever\u2019s Clever, due out March 27. Charlie says in a statement, \u201c\u2018Beat Yourself Up\u2019 started as something I wanted to tell a friend. We\u2019ve never been the heart-to-heart types, so I wrote it in a song instead. I wanted to tell him that even though he has made mistakes along the way, he shouldn\u2019t be so hard on himself. That things will get better and he\u2019s not alone.\u201d Charlie says he then realized that the message of the song \u2013 \u201ckeep going and be kinder to yourself\u201d \u2013 is for everyone, not just his friend.<\/p>\n Charli XCX<\/strong> has released \u201cWall of Sound<\/a>,\u201d another song she wrote for director Emerald Fennell<\/strong>\u2018s new film, Wuthering Heights<\/a>. The movie is in theaters Feb. 14, while Charli\u2019s soundtrack arrives Feb. 13.<\/p>\n Madison Beer<\/strong>\u2018s third album, locket, is out now, and with it she\u2019s released a video for one of its tracks, \u201cBad Enough<\/a>.\u201d The song is about staying with someone you know is wrong for you, because things aren\u2019t \u201cbad enough to let my baby go.\u201d The video casts her as a beauty who\u2019s literally dating a beast. She turns a blind eye as he eats garbage off the street and kills a guy who bumps into her accidentally. Finally, she gets ready to attack him with an ax, but then stops at the last minute and the two stroll away together.<\/p>\n
