Cate Le Bon<\/a>\u00a0brought out\u00a0St. Vincent<\/a>\u00a0for their new collaborative single \u2018Always\u00a0The\u00a0Same\u2019 in New York this week \u2013 watch below.<\/p>\n The song was released last week for the first time<\/a>, a track that derives from the sessions for Le Bon\u2019s recent album \u2018Michelangelo Dying\u2019,\u00a0but\u00a0it\u00a0did not make the final cut for the album.<\/p>\n St. Vincent \u2013 aka Annie Clark \u2013 contributes echoey vocals to the woozy, shimmering song, and\u00a0the two artists played it live together for the first time\u00a0on Friday night (January 16) during\u00a0Le Bon\u2019s show in Manhattan\u2019s Irving Plaza.<\/p>\n You can watch footage of the performance here:<\/p>\n Always The Same #catelebon<\/a> #stvincent<\/a> <\/p>\n \u266c original sound \u2013 srg<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/blockquote>\n On the song\u2019s release, Le Bon said: \u201c\u2018Always The Same\u2019 needed a little more elbow room than the album would allow but it is cousin to the song cycle of \u2018Michelangelo Dying\u2019, coming into formation in the same breath. Special to me because it features dear friend and mighty artist St. Vincent who occupies the space around me with composure and gravitas whilst I kick around in the dirty waters of love.\u201d<\/p>\n Clark and Le Bon have been friends for several years, with\u00a0Clark describing her as \u201cone of my\u00a0favourite\u00a0artists ever and a great producer in her own right\u201d<\/a>. Le Bon went on to\u00a0produce and feature on the title track of St. Vincent\u2019s 2024 album \u2018All Born Screaming\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
