Dancing With the Stars <\/i>pro Jenna Johnson<\/strong><\/a> is addressing the viral speculation that she was injured in a near-fatal car accident.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been brought to my attention by hundreds of you that there is an article circulating that I was involved in an accident with other horrifying information,\u201d Johnson, 31, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, January 18. \u201cThis is absolutely FAKE NEWS.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, a series of Facebook posts claimed that Johnson and her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong>, were gravely injured<\/a> in a near-catastrophic car crash. The social media uploaded also included images of a totaled car.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is SO distrurbing [sic] that AI is being used to spread misinformation like this,\u201d Johnson said, blaming artificial intelligence for crafting the posts about the alleged accident. \u201cReal lives should not be joked around with.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy started out as colleagues on Dancing With the Stars and ended up as a happily married couple in real life. The pair first crossed paths in 2014 when Johnson\u00a0became a DWTS troupe member. Chmerkovskiy had already been competing as a pro on the ABC competition series since season 13, which [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She continued, \u201cPlease stop using my pictures to spread false news articles for clickbait. It\u2019s disgusting!!! Whoever started this should be ashamed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson and Chmerkovskiy, 39, are currently preparing for the 2026 DWTS <\/i>live tour<\/a>, which kicks off Thursday, January 22, in Akron, Ohio. The couple are also bringing their 3-year-old son, Rome, along for the five-month show.<\/p>\n

Johnson last appeared on the tour in 2024, alongside former partner Joey Graziadei<\/strong> for a handful of dates.<\/p>\n

\u201cSelfishly as a performer, I\u2019ve needed this past month [and] a half more than I can express,\u201d Johnson wrote via Instagram<\/a> in 2024 at the end of her touring run. \u201cSince becoming a mother (truly the greatest role I\u2019ve ever dreamed of) I\u2019ve felt like I lost my identity as an artist. I\u2019ve felt guilty and torn between being the best mom possible and feeling fulfilled as a performer. I didn\u2019t think I was allowed to have both \u2026 until this experience rehearsing for and now dancing on tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI\u2019ve never been more exhausted waking up at 7 a.m. with Rome on the bus, being mommy until I need to start getting ready, finishing the show at 10:30 p.m., and going to bed on average around 1:30 a.m.\/2 a.m. every night. It\u2019s drained me but it\u2019s brought me an insane amount of happiness that gets me choked up if I think about it long enough. I\u2019ve realized that you can do it all. Mama\u2019s out there, don\u2019t give up on your dreams!!\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Johnson, she started to fall \u201cin love with dance even more\u201d after returning to the stage. She followed up the tour with a slot on DWTS <\/i>season 34 last year, where she was partnered with Corey Feldman.<\/p>\n
