PC: courtesy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Hawaiian Music Series returns to Lahaina in 2026, moving to a new location on the lawn of Waiola Church, 535 Waine\u02bbe Street. The first free, family-friendly concert of the year kicks off Thursday, Jan. 29, from 6\u20137:30 p.m. at the new location, featuring acclaimed Maui musician Joshua Kahula. Free parking is available on site.<\/p>\n<p>Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets, mats, or low-back beach chairs to enjoy the music comfortably on the grass.<\/p>\n<p>Born and raised in Makawao, Joshua Kahula is a respected vocalist and songwriter with deep roots in Hawaiian music and culture. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has performed with a range of well-known local bands, including Ho\u2018omau, Nuff Sedd, Pono, and Kahalawai. His sound bridges traditional Hawaiian mele with contemporary influences such as reggae, funk, R&amp;B, and rock, creating a style that resonates with audiences of all ages.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adBreak mobile-only mobileFullWidth\"><span><b>ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<p>Following the 2023 Lahaina wildfires, Joshua co-wrote E Ola Maui, a song of healing and resilience created to support community recovery efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBringing our beloved Hawaiian Music Series back to Lahaina is a meaningful milestone for us.
