Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet\u2019s rise to stardom has prompted an honest take from his highly acclaimed film Marty Supreme <\/i>costar, Kevin O\u2019Leary.<\/p>\n
In a recent conversation with PEOPLE <\/i>at the BATA Tea at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, the 71-year-old actor shared how the 30-year-old star remains unfazed despite major awards recognition.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s very well-grounded. He\u2019s a very normal guy,” O\u2019Leary said, explaining that Chalamet\u2019s grounded nature comes from his upbringing.<\/p>\n
The Rollover <\/i>actor added, “I\u2019ve met his mother. I hung out with her in New York. We had a great time. He is focused on work, and he doesn\u2019t screw around until he\u2019s got it nailed down.”<\/p>\n
“I think that\u2019s a good attribute. He hasn\u2019t let any of the stardom stuff affect him at all. He\u2019s the same guy I met at the beginning. Eight months later, he\u2019s the same guy,” he shared.<\/p>\n
Continuing to gush over Chalamet\u2019s acting skills, O\u2019Leary also revealed that his costar opted for method acting for his role as a ping-pong player in Marty Supreme<\/i>.<\/p>\n
“I certainly saw what a method actor is like. That\u2019s not how I work, but that\u2019s how he works. And I think he was fantastic,” O\u2019Leary remarked.<\/p>\n
Apart from their professional bond, the pair also connected over their shared interest in watches while filming.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s a big watch guy. So am I. We have a lot of fun with watches \u2026 we talk about watches all the time,” he joked, adding that an Oscar win this year could earn Chalamet a special watch.<\/p>\n
