Prince Harry has arrived at a London court as his high-profile case against a British publisher gets underway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s understood the Duke of Sussex jetted from California to the UK over the weekend ahead of the nine-week trial, which is taking place in the high court.<\/p>\n

He has joined forces with a number of well-known British figures, including Sir Elton John, Liz Hurley and Sadie Frost, to take on Associated Newspapers (ANL) \u2013 publisher of the Daily Mail<\/i> and The Mail on Sunday<\/i> \u2013 over allegations of phone hacking.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Harry told news.com.au that he was feeling \u201cconfident and ready\u201d ahead of the upcoming legal battle.<\/p>\n

Harry and his fellow claimants have accused the publications of systematically engaging in \u201cunlawful information gathering\u201d, including tapping phones and intercepting voicemails, between 1993 and 2011.<\/p>\n

Associated Newspapers has denied any wrongdoing, describing the claims as \u201cpreposterous\u201d and an \u201caffront to the hardworking journalists whose reputations and integrity \u2026 are wrongly traduced\u201d.<\/p>\n

Harry is due to give evidence on Thursday, UK time.<\/p>\n

The legal battle marks the last in a series of lawsuits he has brought against several UK newspapers. In 2024, he settled with News Group Newspapers, publishers of The Sun<\/i>, and in 2023, he won his case against Mirror Group Newspapers.<\/p>\n

Harry and his wife Meghan have sued the Mail\u2019s publications four times, including when the Duchess of Sussex took action over a private letter to her father which was shared in the paper.<\/p>\n

Out of a total 10 cases filed between 2019 and 2022 by Harry and Meghan, this week\u2019s legal battle marks the final one.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, despite the fact there certainly appears to have been a thawing in the frosty relationship between Harry and his father recently, culminating in a face-to-face meeting at Clarence House in September, the pair are not expected to meet during the prince\u2019s visit to his home country.<\/p>\n

King Charles \u2013 along with Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales \u2013 are all taking part in engagements in Scotland this week, with the Prince of Wales then scheduled for a Bristol appearance on the day his brother gives evidence.<\/p>\n
