A new Meg Mac album is on the way.<\/p>\n
Set for release on February 20th,\u00a0It\u2019s My Party<\/em> is an eclectic alt-pop record that sees Mac letting go on rigidity in favour for instinct and play. Her fourth studio album, written and recorded between London and LA, marks a vivid new chapter for the singer-songwriter \u2013 one defined by creative freedom, collaboration, and joy.<\/p>\n It was produced by acclaimed UK producer Bullion, who has also worked with the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen and Ben Howard.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought I had this whole album planned out \u2013 I was going for this dark, witchy vibe and I was so serious,\u201d Mac said. \u201cThen honestly, not one thing went to plan and I was forced to let go for once in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n That release became central to the album\u2019s emotional core. \u201cI\u2019ve spent most of my career being stressed, but somehow I stopped trying to control it all and found the magic in collaboration, being open and not worrying so much.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s My Party<\/em> reflects a meeting of worlds \u2013 sonically, geographically, and creatively. Mac credits her partnership with Bullion as transformative. \u201cI\u2019m forever grateful to Bullion.
