Bringing Up Bates<\/em> <\/a>alum Lawson Bates<\/strong> is sharing his public support for sister Katie Bates<\/strong> after Travis Clark<\/strong><\/a> admitted to cheating on her just hours after she revealed a recent pregnancy loss.<\/p>\n

\u201c@kgbates2000, I still can\u2019t believe you dropped everything at a moment\u2019s notice to come be with us and help document this huge life moment. It meant the world,\u201d Lawson, 33, wrote via his Instagram on Sunday, January 18, alongside a photo of the brother-sister duo standing beside his wife, Tiffany Bates<\/strong>, after she gave birth.<\/p>\n

Lawson, one of Gil<\/strong> and Kelly Jo Bates<\/strong>\u2019 19 children, and Tiffany welcomed sons Will and Theodore in 2024 and 2026, respectively.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re one of the kindest and most genuine people I know,\u201d he concluded. \u201cWe love you and are always here for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lawson\u2019s message comes one day after Clark revealed via his Instagram Story that he had stepped outside of his marriage with Katie.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife<\/a>,\u201d Clark wrote on Saturday, January 17. \u201cI had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust. There is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my responsibility alone. I know that words don\u2019t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I\u2019ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry for the pain, humiliation and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices,\u201d Clark continued. \u201cI understand that an apology doesn\u2019t repair what I broke and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark explained in his statement that he planned to take responsibility for his actions by \u201cgetting help,\u201d though he did not clarify what type of help or support he would be seeking.<\/p>\n

\u201c[I am] doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of [the] outcome,\u201d Clark concluded. \u201cI ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie has not publicly addressed Clark\u2019s statement. Us Weekly<\/em> reached out to Katie for comment at the time.<\/p>\n

Hours before Clark\u2019s admission, Katie revealed that she suffered a pregnancy loss.<\/a> \u201cI will spend the rest of my life missing you,\u201d she wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 17, sharing footage from her pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> exclusively confirmed in 2020 that Katie started courting Clark after meeting through mutual friends one year prior.<\/p>\n
