The company behind the Sphere venue in Las Vegas has shared plans for its first small-scale Sphere in the United States.<\/p>\n
In collaboration with the State of Maryland, Prince George\u2019s County and Peterson Companies, Sphere Entertainment intends to develop a \u2018mini Sphere\u2019 at National Harbor in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.<\/p>\n
The model, which is set to feature an Exosphere \u2013 the exterior LED display \u2013 will have a capacity of 6,000<\/strong> seats compared to the 17,600<\/strong>-seater Las Vegas venue, which opened in September 2023. Sphere would support approximately 2,500 jobs during the construction phase, and 4,750 jobs once operational.
