Princess Alexandra is to become a great grandmother after a
\nroyal relation announced exciting baby news.<\/p>\n
Alexandra\u2019s granddaughter, Flora Vesterberg, has revealed she is
\nexpecting her first child.<\/p>\n
She made the announcement on Instagram, saying \u201dDelighted to
\nshare that Timothy and I are expecting our first child. We\u2019re truly
\nover the moon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Flora married Timothy Vesterberg in 2020. They celebrated their
\nmarriage again in 2021 as their first wedding had come at the
\nheight of the pandemic.<\/p>\n
As she revealed the new addition to the family, Flora shared a
\nnew photo which had been taken by her father.<\/p>\n
The mum to be is the only daughter of James Ogilvy, son of
\nPrincess Alexandra and the late Angus Ogilvy. James is married to
\nJulia \u2013 they wed in 1988 at St. Mary\u2019s Church in Saffron Walden,
\nEssex.<\/p>\n
Flora Ogilvy, 31, works in contemporary art, running a gallery.
\nHer husband is a financier.<\/p>\n
No date has been given for the arrival of the new baby although
\nthe photo accompanying the announcement showed a very happy Flora
\nwith a noticeable bump.<\/p>\n
The new baby will be 62nd in line to the throne and a direct
\ndescendant of King George V. Princess Alexandra was a granddaughter
\nof the king who reigned from 1910 to 1936 although she never met
\nhim as she arrived on Christmas Day 1936 and her grandfather had
\ndied in January that year. Alexandra was born just days after the
\nabdication of King Edward VIII and was the first royal baby of the
\nreign of King George VI.<\/p>\n
Princess Alexandra was a working royal for decades, representing
\nQueen Elizabeth II and King Charles III at many events. She has
\nbeen much lower profile in recent years \u2013 she is now 89 years
\nold.<\/p>\n
The princess had two children, James and Marina, and she also
\nhas four grandchildren. James is father to Flora and Alexander, 29,
\nwhile Marina is mum to Zenouska, 35, and Christian, 32.<\/p>\n
