Drew Barrymore<\/a> experienced a candid moment mid-interview on The Drew Barrymore Show<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Barrymore sat down with People We Meet on Vacation<\/em><\/a> star Tom Blyth<\/a> on the show\u2019s Monday, January 19, episode<\/a>. While discussing his cut role in the 2010 film Robin Hood<\/em><\/a>, Barrymore abruptly took off her shoes and blazer.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, get comfy,\u201d Blyth said before Barrymore explained the reason for taking off her clothing items. \u201cI\u2019m having a hot flash, Tom, now, and I just gotta lean into it. Sorry!\u201d she quipped.<\/p>\n Blyth went on to joke, \u201cShould I be doing the same?\u201d Barrymore replied, \u201cDo you want to? We could play \u2018strip interview.\u2019 I\u2019ve never done that! Although, I never have said the word \u2018interview,\u2019 also. These are conversations. I\u2019m literally in discovery mode, as you can tell.\u201d<\/p>\n Barrymore ended the moment by thanking Blyth for \u201cbeing such a good man.\u201d<\/p>\n The host opened up about her on-air hot flash in a behind-the-scenes video<\/a> shared via the show\u2019s official Instagram page on Sunday, January 18. There\u2019s nothing more fun than telling an adorable, 30-year-old man that you\u2019re having a hot flash. So sexy,\u201d she joked before getting real about not hiding her health on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m at this point where I\u2019m just like, \u2018This is what it is. This is not a show. It\u2019s real life. We\u2019re just having conversations. Why should I fake it through that moment? Just be honest about what I am physically going through,’\u201d she explained. \u201cMenopause is teaching me [to] stop being uptight. Don\u2019t worry so much. Don\u2019t think you\u2019re gonna pull something off with having people not see you a certain way.\u201d<\/p>\n Barrymore noted that sometimes her hot flashes are \u201cso bad\u201d that she can\u2019t \u201cfake through it.\u201d Thankfully, Blyth was \u201cso lovely\u201d and \u201cso cute about it and so sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI have no idea what that\u2019s like, for a young man to have a woman lean over and be like, \u2018Do you know about perimenopause or menopause?’\u201d she stated. \u201cBut, you know, if we start making it a casual conversation, then it\u2019ll take the stigma out of it. I am not going to be insecure about it. It\u2019s just a natural part of life.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans appreciated Barrymore being open about her menopause experience on TV. \u201cYesssss!
