\n By BEN SALMON, For The Bulletin<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n For as long as I can remember, Central Oregon has been a welcoming\u00a0place for artists who combine electronic beats \u2018n\u2019 bass with more organic sounds, like stringed instruments, woodwinds and global folk music.<\/p>\n Papadosio. Beats Antique. Lynx and Janover. Dirtwire. Filastine. Rising Appalachia. Moontricks. To name just a few.<\/p>\n This is what I think of as Burning Man music. Or if you\u2019ve lived here long enough, it\u2019s music that might bring you right back to the beloved Bond Street venue The Grove (not to be confused with the current business on the west side of Bend).<\/p>\n Anyway, here\u2019s a name to add to the list: KR3TURE, a skilled electro-folk-pop-rock fusionist from Santa Cruz, California, whose music is so seamless and lustrous, you\u2019d be forgiven for believing it was made by a machine. But it was made by KR3TURE, who must be a human, because there\u2019s a human in the promotional photos and, presumably, a human will perform on Saturday at Volcanic Theatre Pub.<\/p>\n That human has a bunch of music available to listen to on the internet, and it\u2019s uniformly catchy and cool, funky and highly danceable, with glitchy rhythms, smooth synth sounds, snappin\u2019 low end and interesting incorporations of electric guitar and saxophone. If you like some or all of the stuff listed above, you\u2019ll probably like this.<\/p>\n
