<\/p>\nDeni Hines, Concetta Caristo on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!<\/span>(Source: YouTube)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026 Get Me Out Of Here! returned to our screens on Sunday (18 January) with a fresh batch of Australian celebrities changing up their day jobs for the jungle.<\/p>\n During the 12th season premiere, which is set at the Kruger National Park, South Africa, and hosted by Julia Morris<\/strong> and Robert Irwin<\/strong>, this year\u2019s competitors were finally revealed. From former AFL <\/strong>player Dyson Heppell<\/strong> to actor Gary Sweet<\/strong>, representing Australian music are singer Deni Hines<\/strong> and triple j <\/strong>radio host Concetta Caristo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Host of triple j\u2019s Breakfast slot alongside Luka Muller<\/strong> since 2024, it\u2019s predicted that Caristo\u2019s easy banter will be appreciated as this year\u2019s competition goes on. In addition to her work as a radio presenter, Caristo has been a stand-up comedian since 2019.<\/p>\n Announcing her involvement with I\u2019m A Celebrity over the weekend, Caristo posted an image of herself in the jungle with the caption, \u201cSoooooooooooo \ud83d\ude0b.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Deni Hines is already Australian reality TV royalty as the daughter of singer and Australian Idol judge Marcia Hines<\/strong>. Throughout her career, she\u2019s appeared on Mao\u2019s Last Dancer (2009) and Miss Fisher\u2019s Murder Mysteries, as well as The Celebrity Apprentice Australia, The Masked Singer Australia (as Unicorn), and Dancing With The Stars: All Stars.<\/p>\n Deni\u2019s first big break came as a guest vocalist for The Rockmelons<\/strong>, starting with a successful cover of Bill Withers<\/strong>\u2019 Ain\u2019t No Sunshine and leading into what would be their biggest hit, That Word (L-O-V-E).<\/p>\n Don’t miss a beat with our FREE daily newsletter<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n While dating (and later marrying) INXS <\/strong>saxophonist and guitarist Kirk Pengilly<\/strong> in 1992, Hines also found herself in the studio with INXS while they were recording their album Welcome To Wherever You Are and was tapped to do backing vocals on their classic track Not Enough Time, spending time in the studio with the legendary Michael Hutchence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Participants on I\u2019m A Celebrity represent chosen charities. For Hines, that\u2019s Monika\u2019s Rescues<\/strong>, an organisation devoted to rehoming and saving as many pets as possible from council pounds.
