Last November, it was revealed that Universal Pictures<\/a> is in talks with Brendan Fraser<\/a> and Rachel Weisz<\/a> to resurrect The Mummy<\/a> franchise from the ’90s and 2000s. If a deal is made, the actors will reprise their roles as Rick O’Connell<\/a> and Evelyn O’Connell, respectively.<\/p>\n

Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin<\/a> and Tyler Gillett<\/a> are currently set to direct the movie from a script by David Coggeshall<\/a> (The Deliverance). Franchise veteran Sean Daniel<\/a> would produce alongside William Sherak<\/a>, James Vanderbilt<\/a>, and Paul Neinstein<\/a> of Project X Entertainment<\/a>.<\/p>\n
