Courtney Barnett<\/a> has announced a new album. The Australian indie-rocker will share Creature of Habi<\/em>t<\/a> on March 27 via Mom+Pop<\/a>. The 10-track LP includes last year\u2019s single \u201cStay in Your Lane<\/a>\u201d as well as \u201cSite Unseen,\u201d a duet with Waxahatchee<\/a>\u2019s Katie Crutchfield that\u2019s out today alongside a music video directed by Juliana and Nicola Giraffe. \u201cI tried 3 separate times over 2 years to track this song, and each time it either wasn\u2019t finished or didn\u2019t sound right and each time we had to start again,\u201d Barnett shared in a press statement. \u201cI kept hearing this really high harmony in my head, so for the fourth and final version, I asked Katie if she\u2019d be into singing it with me. I\u2019m a big Waxahatchee fan. I really love Katie\u2019s songwriting and her voice, so it was an honour to have her sing on \u2018Site Unseen.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Barnett put out her last proper studio album, Things Take Time, Take Time<\/em><\/a>, in 2021. That same year, she was the subject of the documentary Anonymous Club<\/em><\/a>, which also featured an instrumental soundtrack<\/a> composed by Barnett and Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa. Barnett\u2019s extensive North American tour in support of Creature of Habit<\/em> will take place in two legs\u2014one in May and the other in August.
