The Jeopardy!<\/em><\/a> Invitational Tournament (JIT) is one of the last tournaments<\/a> held in the postseason. It is played immediately after the Tournament of Champions<\/a> ends.<\/p>\n Ken Jennings<\/a> will host the tournament, as he does all of the other ones, but this competition is solely based on invitations by the game show<\/a>\u2018s executive producers, Sarah Whitcomb-Foss<\/a> and Michael Davies<\/a>. Whitcomb-Foss and Davies announced the contestants on the Inside Jeopardy!<\/em><\/a> podcast on January 19 and shared who declined.<\/p>\n Some of those contestants include three participants from the previous Masters<\/em><\/a> series, the two runners-up from the TOC, and other champions, but even they can decline if they simply can\u2019t participate. The pool is smaller this year.<\/p>\n That year\u2019s TOC winner and JIT winner advance to Jeopardy! Masters<\/em>, along with three contestants who were seeded in the last Masters<\/em>.
