Kim Petras<\/a> has hit out at her record label claiming that they \u201crefused\u201d to release her forthcoming album \u2018Detour\u2019.<\/p>\n The German pop star took to X to post her frustrations in a series of posts explaining why she\u2019d rather be an independent artist going forward and has called to be dropped by Republic Records.<\/p>\n \u201cMy album has been done for six months but my record label has refused to give me a release date or pay my collaborator\u2019s for the work they\u2019ve done,\u201d she wrote, adding in a separate post: \u201cI\u2019m tired of having no control over my own life or career. I want to continue to self fund and self curate my own music. Still no support,\u201d before adding: \u201cIf it\u2019s not a TikTok trend or \u201980s revival queerbaiting shit these labels have no interest in supporting.\u201d<\/p>\n She concluded her posts by threatening to drop her new album. \u201cMy fans have waited long enough.
