\u201cI had thought this was going to be a throwaway as I wrote it; just a filler song,\u201d says Drop Nineteens\u2019 Paula Kelley of this new song. \u201cThen I tweaked one chord in the chorus and a whole new path opened up. I remember listening to an early mix and saying aloud, \u2018Holy shit, \u2018Static\u2019 is actually good now.\u2019 We had a helluva time getting it right, arrangement and production-wise, but I\u2019m shocked at how well it turned out, given how it began.\u201d Paula\u2019s solo album<\/a> is out March 27.<\/p>\n
