Aaron Tippin<\/strong> has signed with 8 Track Entertainment, and will release a\u00a0new single,\u00a0\u201cAmerican Sky,\u201d\u00a0on Feb. 13, marking his\u2019s debut on the Muscle Shoals\/Nashville\u2013based label.<\/p>\n

Tippin will perform the new song at the induction ceremonies for the\u00a0Living Legends of Aviation in Los Angeles tomorrow (Jan. 23), where he is set to be inducted\u00a0during the black-tie\u00a0gala. Hosted by\u00a0John Travolta<\/strong>,<\/b> The Living Legends of Aviation honors individuals who have made significant contributions in aviation, and highlights Tippin\u2019s long-standing connection to flying. He became a licensed pilot at 14 and soloed on his 16th birthday. Tippin comes from a family of pilots including his father and uncle, who flew the Alaskan bush before Alaska became a state. Both of Tippin\u2019s sons are now third-generation pilots.<\/p>\n

Written by Tippin\u2019s son\u00a0Tom Tippin\u00a0<\/strong>and produced by\u00a0Grammy award-winning engineer Noah Gordon,<\/b> \u201cAmerican Sky\u201d explores freedom, optimism, and the power of believing in what\u2019s possible.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019American Sky\u2019\u00a0means a lot to me for several reasons,\u201d says Tippin. \u201cI come from a family of aviators and I was a professional pilot before I became a singer. Our son Tom, who is also a pilot and singer, wrote this song, which is extra special. This song is about the American dream. We live in the greatest country in the world where the sky\u2019s the limit. If you have a dream and work hard at it, there\u2019s nothing you can\u2019t do.\u201d<\/p>\n
