TikTok<\/a> Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMonths ago, I decided I was going to be very proactive about blood tests \u2026 I started to take a series of blood tests, and each time my kidney function was coming up low.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Bethenny Frankel announced she was diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease. <span class=\"credit\">Tiktok\/@bethennyfrankel<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The TV class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Frankel, 55, explained she had a doctor\u2019s appointment earlier in the day, and received the diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cReal Housewives of New York City\u201d alum shared that her condition could be the result of a \u201ctraumatic experience [she] had years ago when [she] almost died from an allergy attack,\u201d or it could be an autoimmune disease.<\/p>\n<p>She noted she learned that other infections could have led to the disease, saying that she used to get a lot of UTIs but \u201cnot as much anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cMonths ago, I decided I was going to be very proactive about blood tests,\u201d she explained. <span class=\"credit\">bethennyfrankel\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Frankel added, \u201cI started to take a series of blood tests, and each time my kidney function was coming up low.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@bethennyfrankel<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t drink a lot of water,\u201d Frankel admitted. \u201cI\u2019m holding a bottle, but I\u2019m not usually drinking\u00a0it.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[My doctor] said, \u2018Water is your medicine,&#8217;\u201d she told viewers, adding that she has to drink up to 1.5 gallons per day.<\/p>\n<p>The reality star was also told to lay off pain medications, such as ibuprofen and Advil, and supplements, such as turmeric.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Bravo alum explained the diagnosis could\u2019ve been a result of a \u201ctraumatic experience [she] had years ago when [she] almost died from an allergy attack.\u201d may also be autoimmune. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Frankel stated that she was sharing her diagnosis not to get fans concerned about her, but to warn them to \u201ctake precautions\u201d for their own health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBe mindful,\u201d she urged her followers. \u201cMaybe this is something I\u2019ll have to deal with forever, but I just wanted to tell you because I think it\u2019s important to go get all your bloodwork done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Skinny Girl founder tends to be candid on social media, recently sharing that she <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/01\/05\/celebrity-news\/bethenny-frankel-contracted-a-bacterial-infection-on-her-face-after-partying-in-st-barts\/\">got a facial bacterial infection <\/a>after
