It\u2019s not enough to power it to the top 100 of the Official Singles Chart, which combines streams and sales; Dave and Tems\u2019 \u201cRaindance\u201d is the Official Singles Chart<\/a> No. 1 for the charts dated Jan. 23.<\/p>\n \u201cNot Such an Innocent Girl\u201d originally peaked at No. 6 on the Official Singles Chart in 2001, one of four top 10 solo hits following the Spice Girls<\/a>\u2019 disbandment in 2000. Fans of Posh Spice and the Beckham family have been campaigning for the track to hit the charts again in the wake of the family schism.<\/p>\n Brooklyn, 31 \u2014 who now goes by Brooklyn Peltz Beckham \u2014 shared a statement<\/a> on his Instagram account on Jan. 19 saying that he was estranged from his famous parents and siblings.<\/p>\n \u201cI have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family. I\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cFor my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they\u2019ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.\u201d<\/p>\n In the statement, Brooklyn alleged that his parents were trying to come between him and his wife, Nicola. He claimed that his mom \u201ccancelled making Nicola\u2019s dress at the eleventh hour,\u201d and that she \u201chijacked\u201d their first dance and danced \u201cvery inappropriately on me in front of everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n Soccer icon David seemingly responded<\/a> to the statement earlier this week when asked about the role of social media in childhood, saying that social media should be \u201cused for the right reasons.\u201d He added that \u201cchildren are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn.
