Inevitably, one of those scenes was from the 2004 romcom, \u201cA Cinderella Story,\u201d in which she appeared as Sam Montgomery against Chad Michael Murray\u2019s Austin.<\/p>\n<p>During the walk down memory lane, Duff revealed that her daughter, Mae, had watched the movie. She said that the little girl did not hold back her thoughts about one questionable plot point. The scene in question was the iconic ballroom school dance sequence, for which Duff wore a tiny mask over her eyes, leaving Austin confused about her identity.<\/p>\n<p>Fans have wondered for the past two decades how Sam had pulled that move. Mae has the same question. The \u201cLizzie McGuire\u201d alum said, \u201cMy 4-year-old has watched this movie and also picked up on like, how could he not know it\u2019s you in that mask? I was like, \u2018It\u2019s the age-old question, honey.\u2019 And she\u2019s like, \u2018But it\u2019s you. You are right there. I don\u2019t understand. How does he not know?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018I know.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Duff shares daughters Mae\u00a0James\u00a0Bair, Banks\u00a0Violet\u00a0Bair and Townes Meadow Bair with husband, Matthew Koma. She is also the mother of Luca Cruz Comrie, the son she welcomed with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie, in 2012.
