Chris Pine gets honest about future of the \u2018Star Trek\u2019<\/p><\/div>\n

Chris Pine has recently reflected on the future of the Star Trek <\/i>franchise.<\/p>\n

The actor, who played Captain Kirk in three Star Trek<\/i> movies between 2009 and 2016, was asked to share his views on Paramount\u2019s new leadership at the Variety<\/i> Studio presented by Audible.<\/p>\n

He replied, \u201cYou probably know more than I do.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention that Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the duo behind the Chris-starring Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves<\/i> movies, were reportedly writing, producing and directing a new Star Trek<\/i> movie. <\/p>\n

Interestingly, the new movie will not feature the Wonder Woman<\/i> actor because it\u2019s not a continuation of the J.J. Abrams-led reboot of the series.<\/p>\n

During the interview at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, Chris also gave one valuable advice to new Paramount bosses with regards to Star Trek movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave fun, good luck, live long and prosper,\u201d suggested the Just My Luck<\/i> actor.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Chris attended the festival for his new romance drama, Carousel<\/i>, along with his co-star Jenny Slate and director Rachel Lambert.<\/p>\n

The American actor, who plays the role of a single father in the latest movie, talked about his character, adding, \u201cMany a male character in film and in life, there is a difficulty for men to communicate feelings with clarity. He struggles with that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
